Terragen
Photorealistic image renderings created with Terragen, a 3D landscape rendering software.
Victoria Crater
Victoria Crater on Meridiani Plain, Mars. This crater was visited by the rover Opportunity. The crater has a diameter of approximately 730 m and is about 70 m deep. This Terragen image was rendered using the Digital Elevation Model of the crater. In order to obtain a realistic colorization of the scenery, I used surface maps and cloud layers particularly generated for this kind of Mars renderings.
Grand Canyon
This image was created using the Digital Elevation Model of the Grand Canyon.
Valles Marineris
The “Grand Canyon” of Mars. The image was created using different data sets from the spacecraft Mars Global Surveyor.
Canyonlands
A view from the Canyonlands-Mesa via the Colorado River. This part of the Grand Canyon is located in Utah. The image was created using the Digital Elevation Model of the Grand Canyon.
Crater Lake
The remnant of a volcanic eruption, located in Oregon. The image was created using the Digital Elevation Model of the Crater Lake.
Snowcrest Mountains
Located in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. The image was created using a part of the Digital Elevation Model of the Cascade Mountains.
